| TIME: |
6:30 - 8:20pm
(first 30 minutes required/mandatory for all coaches). |
| PURPOSE: |
To educate volunteer coaches by
providing basic information on the skills youngsters need to learn for
playing volleyball. This clinic will also provide instruction on how to
conduct specific drills designed to help teach those skills. Finally,
coaches will learn the important keys for teaching the forearm pass,
setting, spiking and serving |
| INSTRUCTOR: |
The clinician is Jerry Weydert, an
accomplished player who still competes at the USA Volleyball National championships in
age group competition where his team placed first at the 2002 Nationals.
Jerry has coached at all levels of volleyball including high school,
college, military and USA Junior club teams as well as in our own RAGE Volleyball League
where his daughter played in the program. Jerry has been an instructor for the Puget Sound Region's IMPACT coaches certification program for seven years and will be using materials from that program to provide you with the knowledge needed to coach your team. |
